I’ve been doing a photo study on one of the areas largest and possibly oldest trees located by the CHO airport. I began about a year ago shooting this tree in various seasonal and weather conditions. I’ve become fascinated with this subject. Something so simple as a tree can offer so many variations within a single image. Everything is a factor. Clouds, blue sky, rain, fog, wind, sunrise, sunset…the list goes on.I’m finding it hard to figure out when the study will be complete. At this rate maybe never. Here’s an image of the tree shot June 09′ using a B/W infrared converted Canon 5D. Post your comments and tell me what you think.

NICE! That’s the coolest shot i’ve seen of it yet. I’ve been hitting that tree some too. It’s awsome; and to think it was almost cut down - community efforts sometimes work.
Andrew, This photo is amazing. You are a “painter” with a camera. When will a book of your work be published so I can buy one? Everyone I used to know, and you know to whom I am refering, would be pleased and proud.
